(RAMABAI BARLINGAY SCHOOL OF BIOTECHNOLOGY PERMANENTLY ON
NO-GRANT BASIS)
(3 year Degree Course under Faculty of Science & Technology)
Came into existence in the session 1997-98 it owes its inception to the University Grants Commission. The College was the first college in Central India to have got permission to start Biotechnology as a vocational subject (as per the scheme available at that time) at the under graduate level.
The college had to make lot of efforts to establish, not only the subject but the concept of Biotechnology itself for the simple reason that people, in general, and students in particular, were not at all aware of this new upcoming field. Today, it is one of the most sought-after subjects, both at under graduate and post graduate level as well as research.
In this 20th year we cater to the needs of the students with complete satisfaction. All necessary facilities are available at a centrally located place in the city of Nagpur at our Shankarnagar premises.
L.A.D. School of Biotechnology was renamed as “Ramabai Barlingay School of Biotechnology” after the mother of Shri P. W. Barlingay, Vice President, W.E.S. & a donor.
